Handblown Small Glass Tumbler
A true care for nature is represented by this glass since it's made from recycled glass (soda-silicate) plus using renewable energies in its process. Artisans from Oaxaca, Mexico carefully gather molten glass, blowing it and shaping it by hand. The colored versions are inspired in nature as well, showing tones the leaves, trees and ground take during the Fall and Winter Seasons. The colors are obtained by using colored glass, therefore they will never wash away or fade.
Due to our very careful annealing process, these glasses are microwave and dishwasher safe. It's also toxins-free, so they can be used for really hot drinks like espresso, coffee or tea, or very cold like ice cream (just can't go from cold to hot since it's not pyrex glass!). Hard water tends to stain glass, washing them with warm water with a little vinegar will bring them back to looking crystal clear.

From the maker:
Xaquixe is a locally run glass studio in Oaxaca, Mexico. Each piece is made by hand, from start to finish, and made to order. The artisans come from rural communities and towns outside of the city and have spent countless hours learning the techniques and skills to create this special glassware. From the local employees to the resources around the shop, every element of Xaquixe is purposeful and responsible. Ovens run on recycled leftover oils from hotels and restaurants within Oaxaca’s city limits, recycled bottles are crushed and reused, and recently began using biodigestation to allow for the use of organic waste to generate energy.
